Tonights game can be said in three words.....
Too many turnovers
Duquesne took the lead early on and never looked back. Mason looked to stagnant. They rushed a few shots, and missing dunks. They def. looked rusty, or tired, this might be because they were thinking about Christmas.
Mason started the half strong with a 8-0 run cutting the lead to 1, 40-39. However Duquesne was too much to handle. Mason couldn't catch a break, again to many turnovers

January 3rd, 2012 Bishop O'Connell vs. PVI
On January 3, 2012 people can get a good look at Patrick Holloway against some stiff competition. If you don't know Patrick Holloway, he is a men's basketball recruit who will be dressing up and playing for Mason in the 2012-2013 season. He is a shooting guard who can also handle dribbling the ball very well according to scouting reports. However he is kinda skinny and this frame will cause him some problems at a college level. He may not want to make his frame bigger, however I know that if we wants to get bigger that the Mason Men's basketball training program is necessary for him to work with. .His head coach said, " he's the best shooter I've ever had and I've had over 50 Division 1 players and a couple of NBA guys. " He made 190 3-pointers his junior year, the most in the Washington D.C area.
If you don't follow high school hoops, or even local hoops, you might not have heard of Patrick. I don't expect those who go to George Mason to know local highschool athletic programs, but if you are interested in sports, particularly men's basketball, I suggest you go to this game.According to ESPN, "he's got the look of a young Steph Curry". If this is true I can't wait for next season.

"Copes on the glass!, how long can George Mason keep shooting the ball like this, Allen looks really good." These phrases were commonly heard by the Big South Commentators in tonight's game.
Before this game started, I thought what would be better then a 20 point win, to make up for the 20 point loss to UVA in Mason men's last game. Well, 76-61 will have to do. It wasn't 20 points but close. Mason improved there record to 7-3, meanwhile the Radford Highlanders have now dropped seven straight.
George Mason Took the lead at the half, 32-29, and never looked back. However, Mason struggled in the first half, shooting only 25%. Radford tried to make some key defensive stops in the 2H but Mason was too much to handle. Mason Shot 55% in the 2H along with Morrison's double-double, with 17 points and 10 rebounds.Mason shot over 60 % from the FT line, which is still something that is a work in progress.
At the 9:53 mark George Mason's gaurd Allen, took a fall. He was dribbling up the court and it looked like, to me, he slipped on the court. He was immediately taken out of the game. I cannot remember if he returned, but I will keep you updated on his status.

How much power do you need?
Electrical power is measured in Watts and energy consumption is measured in kiloWatt hours (kWh). A kiloWatt hour is simply:

The One thing I learned today......

*If you go the Amish culture they have a lot of quilts that women make. They quilt 6-8 hours a day. the men went out farming and hunting. In terms of what we expect in papers. There has been a switch in society. Another thing you are trying to deal with. What is the nature of friendship in a highly internet fed society.
To measure a true friend = who do you know who you can call at 4 in the morning when your having a bad day. You need to have that type of a friend.

Come 300 Sadam husain. His speeches are leveled of imformal arabic. Part of the persuasive appeal and part of the respect other countries had for his speech communication.

The Boston Red Sox went 13-5, and are now 47-25 in interleague play the last four seasons. The New York Yankees went 11-7 last year, as did the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels. So over the last four seasons the Angels, at 49-23, and the Tigers, at 48-24, have been the top two teams in Interleague Play. And the Minnesota Twins are 45-27 during the last four years.
The New York Mets led the NL last year by going 13-5 in Interleague Play. This gives them a 35-28 record in Interleague Play over the last four seasons. The Colorado Rockies have been the best NL team in Interleague Play over that span, going 37-26. And the St. Louis Cardinals are 31-29. But those are the only three National League teams to own a winning record in Interleague Play over the last four years.
The Worst
The worst teams in Interleague Play over the course of the last four seasons come almost exclusively from the National League, and there are a few surprises. The World Series champion San Francisco Giants are 27-36 vs. the AL over our four-season sample. The LA Dodgers, who have won a couple of division titles during this time, are just 23-40 in IL play the last four seasons. And the Philadelphia Phillies, who have won the NL East four times in a row, are a head-scratchin' 28-38 in interleague play over that span.
Of course, none of this is happening in a vacuum, and oddsmakers are well aware of the AL's recent dominance in Interleague Play. So bettors should realize they may be giving a bit more on their bets when taking an American League team this interleague betting season.

Money Management
I always like to keep some money in an offshore account so I can wager on a game if I like the game. I do not condone gambling. Keeping good money management and never betting more then you can afford to lose, I do.
In this post I would like to go over some good money Management strategies.
1. Never play with scared money. In other words, set a maximum amount of money you can afford to loose and don't go past that.
2. In a baseball season, its easy to swerve from your money management. Never increase your bet sizes on consecutive losses. In consecutive wins, increase your wagers in a manner that suits your style of play.
3. Do not put you entire bankroll in play. I try to only bet 5-7% of my bankroll on every given play. If you fell like you really like the play and you think it has a great chance of winning then make it 10%.
4. Don't ever quit in the middle of a winning streak. If you manage to win 10 unit keep playing with a goal of winning another 10 units. As long as you keep winning keep setting 10 unit winning goals. However when the tide turns, and you began to loose, quite the streak with your profit. Remember, a small profit is better than no profit!
5. Line movements are tricky, however most of the time very accurate, so under that its moving for a good reason. If the movement is between 0-15 cents I would play it out. If it's between 11-15 cents I would consider the size of the play, how cold/hot you have been running, and how you feel about the situation. But in general, I would play it out in that range as well. If it's over 15 cents I would def. suggest lowering by a half-Unit or Unit, using your own discretion. If its a 5-Unit play and the line has moved 20 cents I would lower it a full unit.

Mango Cheesecake with a pistachio and date paste crust and Pomegranate Syrup
I took a break from the books this weekend to experiment with a dessert
Cheescake:
1 lbs. low fat cream cheese
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tbls flower
1 puree mango

1/2 cup pistachio shelled(make sure they are shelled)

Whats a Meal without a dessert
I found this recipe from a friend. Great on a spring night
Mini Carrot Cupcakes.
For the Topping: Candied Carrots
1 medium carrot
3/4 cups granulated sugar
For the Cupcakes:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 1/2 cups grated carrots
2/3 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract. ( I also like to use almond extract)
For the Frosting:
I would suggest making the Frosting 1 day in advance to let all the flavors come together. Keep in airtight container in refrigeration.
1. Make the Topping: Peel long ribbons from the carrot using a vegetable peeler, then slice the ribbons lengthwise into 1/4-inch-wide strands(you'll need about 48).
2. Preheat the over to 250 degrees. Bring the granulated sugar and 3/4 cup water to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the carrot strands and simmer until soft, about 10 minutes. Drain and cool slightly. Arrange the strands in squiggles on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until dry, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool completely.
3. Make the cupckaes: Raise the oven temperature to 350 degrees. Line two 24-cup mini-muffin pans with paper liners. Put the flour, almonds, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and allspice in a food processor and pule the nuts are finely ground.
4. Whisk the grated carrots, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until combined. Stir in the flour mixture until just combined. Divide among the mini-muffin cups, filling each three-quarters of the way. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a rack and let cool 5 minutes, then remove the cupcakes from the pans to cool completely.
5. Meanwhile, make the frosting: Beat the confectioners' sugar, cream cheese and butter with a mixer until fluffy.(Make sure the butter and cream cheese is at room temperature, This means let them sit out for at least 2 hours). Beat in the lemon juice and almond extract. Pipe or spread on the cupcakes. Top with candied carrots.
